breathing tube

Finswimmers are equipped with a special breathing tube which is fitted in front of the swimmer's face, unlike the diver's place on the side of the face.

This way the schnorkel provides much less water resistance which is all-important in high speed swimming.

Finswimmers wearing a monofin look a lot like the famous sea mammals - dolphins. This is no coincindence since we try to emulate their movements to achieve greatest speeds.

Another interesting aspect is, that finswimmer moves a lot faster when fully submerged, like modern submarines which are faster underwater than on the surface.

Nemo diver's club organizes regular finswimming training during summer and winter.

We also organize the

Slovenian Open National Finswimming Championship

which will be held in Ljubljana (Vevče swimming pool) on June 8, 2002.
